3rd Quarter Market Update, 2016

We’ve just completed the 3rd Quarter of 2016 with residential real estate sales in Clinton County continuing at a healthy pace. Sales volume year to date is up 11%. The number of homes sold in the county has also increased year to date to 450 from 394 in 2015. Essex and Franklin Counties have also had more completed sales with 215 in Essex up from 166, and 233 in Franklin up from 206 in 2015. 2nd Quarter Market Update, 2016

2016 continues to be a strong year for real estate sales in the North Country. At the half year mark, sales volume in Clinton County was up 31% over last year at the same time. Most of the increase (24%) occurred in the first Quarter, when a mild winter and early spring encouraged home buying activity. With the rise in sales volume came an increase in the number of homes sold year to date. By the end of June, 258 home had been sold in Clinton County, compared to 198 in 2015. 1st Quarter Market Update, 2016

2016 has started off as a strong year in real estate sales in the North Country. In fact, 1st quarter increases are in double and triple digits compared to the 1st quarter of 2015. Home sales volume in Clinton County was up 42% from the same quarter in 2015, Essex was up 98% and Franklin was up 197%. 2015 Real Estate Market Update

2015 has been another successful year in real estate in the North Country (Clinton, Essex, and Franklin Counties) with dollar sales for residential properties up 2.7% from 2014 to $217.6MM. The total number of houses sold was also up across all three 3 counties by 5.4% to 1094 units. 3rd Quarter Market Update

Having come off a record year, residential home sales volume for the first two quarters of 2015 was substantially lower than that of 2014. The real estate market, however, has been very active in the 3rd Quarter (July 1-Sept 30) this year. Home sales volume in Clinton County has been up 24% this quarter compared to the same period last year.
