2015 has been another successful year in real estate in the North Country (Clinton, Essex, and Franklin Counties) with dollar sales for residential properties up 2.7% from 2014 to $217.6MM. The total number of houses sold was also up across all three 3 counties by 5.4% to 1094 units.
Clinton County residential sales were only -3.3% lower in 2015 than the previous year, with the number of homes sold up 4% to 552. The average price of a home sold in 2015 was $146,639.
Essex County residential sales were -9.6% lower in 2015 than 2014, with the number of homes sold up 4% to 244. The average price of a home sold in 2015 was $290,279.
Franklin County, because of few major property sales, had a 32% increase in residential sales dollars. The number of homes sold increased 9% to 298, and the average price of a home price was $220,919.
